Your Nutritionista: Nutritionista Book Club: The Only Other Non-Diet Book You Ever Need to Read (Part I)
At the beginning of this year, I declared Gary Taubes’ Why We Get Fat to be the only non-diet book you ever need to read. Well, I’m revising that opinion. I just finished The End of Overeating: Taking Control of the American Appetite by David Kessler, and I think it’s equally important.

Progress
Hips: 93.5
Waist: 73
Weight: 53kg
I fell off the wagon the past couple of weeks because of a drunken mishap where I sprained my ankle falling off a JCB (one of those construction vehicle things? Is that what it’s called?). And I couldn’t exercise. I didn’t want to eat right as well cause I had a new shipment of *ehem* greens and I couldn’t grocery shop so I ordered pizza and chinese food, all the bad stuff. BUT, I’m back in now.
Also, I went joggin at a nearby park this morning, and i died jogging TO the park. So incredibly bad at jogging. Cycling only for me, unfortunately. And what’s funny was that there was a huge muslim prayer thing going on and i was just like huffing and puffing around ‘em. Can you just imagine? I felt like i had an audience watching me run, which made me run shy. Tryna make it look like baywatch running you know:

In reality it was probably more like this:

Check out this guy though. WHat a champ.

Man, slowly losing the will to do this. I had about 3 binge days this week (Birthday Binge). But I’m still going to the gym. Dayum.
Waist: 72.5cm
Hips: 93cm
Weight: 52-55kg
progress?
so i’m still yet to measure myself but i thought i’d might as well wait until the middle of the month.
so from now on, i’ll measure/weigh every 1st and 15th. or maybe just the 1st. i find that when i weigh myself too often, it makes me impatient and unhappy (if i haven’t lost heaps).
but i believe patience is the key for this so just gotta stick it out!
but otherwise, my throat thing has almost completely gone (i never found out what it actually was…) so im back at the gym!
im going to aim for 4 days a week at 400 cals still.
still debating whether i should incorporate strength/weight training because I’m pretty much just doing cardio atm (treadmill + bike + elliptical…sometimes)
but yeh! looking and feeling good! plus uni is almost over so i can go gym more yay!

The Official Blog of Fitness First: Nutrition Fact or Fiction: Followup
As a followup to yesterdays post Nutrition Fact or Fiction: Eating just before bedtime is fattening. We would like to respond to this being a very contentious point. Here’s a response to the same question answered by Marisa Moore, Registered Dietitian, Spokesperson American Dietetic…
